-We will be volunteering at the local Safe Harbor animal shelter in November. The club voted on Nov. 9th and Nov. 23rd as the two days we would volunteer. Sign up for a spot at the end of the meeting. (contact Lauren at [email protected] if would like to sign up)
-The Agriculture Department will be sponsoring Operation Christmas Child for the first two weeks of November, and they wanted to know if Pre-Vet Club would like to contribute. The club voted and said they were interested in participating. Details to come.

-Reminders about advising: -Make sure you schedule an appointment with your academic advisor. -Freshmen: If you want advise about courses, professors, or to make certain you are staying on track for pre-vet, ask the officers or club members from previous years!
-T-shirt designs were presented to the club. The club voted, and we are going to try and combine Miriam and Tina's designs into one shirt. If this isn't possible, we will be using Miriam's design, because it got a few more votes. Stay tuned to Facebook, twitter, e-mail etc. for final design and cost.
-The Athletics Association wants ushers for the Oct. 26th, Nov. 2nd, and Nov. 9th games. If interested, you can sign up at the end of the meeting.
-Since time allowed, we went through the X-Ray activity that had been prepared. The club broke up into six groups, and each group had to try and identify the items listed on each x-ray print out. The group with the most correct answers received Oreos as a prize.
-If you have not given us your e-mail address, please write it down and give it to us so that we have a way of contacting you in the future about events, etc. Also, our Historian, Miriam, would like for the photo release forms to be signed and turned in by club members at the next meeting.
-Our Vice-President, Alex Winkler, has created an Evolutionary Biology Club. It's first meeting will be on Oct. 30th in Rhodes Hall room 121 during common hour (12pm). There are no dues, and the club will participate in activities like going to fossil sites, etc.. For more information, contact Alex Winkler at [email protected].
