-Our President Lauren began the meeting by addressing the issue of bullying and degrading of people's character and initiative. This will not be tolerated, and this is the first and only warning. If the issue is heard about again, you will be turned over to the Office of Student Conduct. Sign the sign-in sheet so we know who was present for this warning.
-Lauren has been playing phone and email tag with the t-shirt company. She will have answers by our next meeting, and will send out emails including the details of the t-shirts and cost.
-Delta Vet Clinic is holding a raffle for a 40" plasma screen TV. All proceeds will go towards the SEMO Animal Alliance. The tickets are $5, and if you are interested contact Lauren and give her your phone number and money. She will be making a trip to Delta Vet Clinic on December 6th.
-Our second Safe Harbor Day is this Saturday (11/23), and there are 2 slots still available if interested in volunteering. The funds from last year's fundraiser were given during our first weekend of volunteering at Safe Harbor (11/9).
-Sometime next semester Pre-Vet Club will be having a Resume Workshop hosted by Career Linkages. The purpose of the workshop is to better prepare yourself on how to compose your resume for internships and/or jobs you are applying for. It will be held sometime after 4 pm, and we will decide the date at our next meeting.
-The idea of having 2 meeting a month based off of need of the club has been approved. The second meeting of a month would be held in the evening. Not every month will require a second meeting, and we would vote during the original meeting of the month whether we will need a second one that month. We will determine what time and day our second meetings will be held next semester.
-We still have positions available on the Activities Committee. If interested, see Lauren after the meeting.
-Miriam, our historian, proposed Humane Society Supply Drive. If interested, you can join the committee that Miriam will be heading. It will be done sometime in February, and Gamma Sig will be willing to help us.
-Miriam also presented the idea of purchasing Veterinary Day t-shirts. We will be able to order them next semester.
-The Vaccine Activity was played.
-Our next meeting will be held on January 29th at noon in Magill Hall 108.
